Matthew 24:3-14
New King James Version
{Paraphrased}
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as {Jesus} sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
When God heals you, you go back to the way you were when you were a child. Free from stress and the shock of trauma. You were not like this as a child, but you experienced unfairness and trauma and you are now a hard-hearted adult. You are hard as an adult because of the shock you experienced as a child and in your adult cycle.
When Jesus heals you, as a full-grown adult, you go back to the way you were as a child many years ago before all these things happened because that good part of you has suffered stunted growth through persecution.
Once you're healed, you nurture that dysfunctional part of your personality makeup and grow into a normal adult. The terms for this mental and emotional regression and oppression are many. Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). Emotional Dysregulation. Trauma Response. Persecution, trauma, shock.
Jesus talks about this in Matthew 24:12. Love waxes cold because of persecution. The answer to reviving a cold love is endurance. Beginning in verse 9, Jesus foretells us about people hating and killing Christians. In verse 10 Jesus is talking about the church betraying one another. This trust betrayal will cause great mental trauma and will make their love grow cold.
In verses 13 and14, Jesus implies that people hate and kill Christians because they preach. People don't like to be preached to if they're not Christian. In verse 13 tells us that to get the victory over a cold love, that you endure in preaching. Verse 14 tells us that Christians will get up from the fight and preach to the end through endurance. Endurance is how to win the fight.
That's good medicine for people suffering from mental trauma. Though Jesus is talking to Christians, the endurance principle works for everyone suffering trauma and stress. The medicine here is to get up and keep doing what pleases you right to the end through endurance. Endurance will give you your mental health back. Endurance is how to win the fight. Once you cure yourself from the fight with endurance, you will go back to the peaceful times in your mind of childhood innocence.

Prayer and Meditation
Philippians 4:4-9
Living Bible
Prayer
4 Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice!
5 Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon.
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.
7 If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
Meditation
8 And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.
9 Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.
