How To Know For Sure That You're Going To Make The Rapture

Updated: Dec 17, 2021

God Works Obedience In Us

And Not We Ourselves

Philippians 2 Authorized (King James) Version 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. 17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. 19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. 20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. 22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. 23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. 24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. 25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. 26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. 27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. 28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. 29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: 30 because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

Today, God wants to talk to us through Philippians chapter 2. This morning, I heard the Holy Spirit say to me,

"Do you know what God wants you to write about today"?

I said "Yes...I think I do. But I want to hear from you". He said,

"Philippians chapter 2. Read it and you'll see what God wants you to write about".

So, I read it and there are two verses that, when combined, my heart has been thinking about for a couple years. Then, there is also a verse in that chapter that I heard another preacher on TBN quote and the Lord bore witness to it, because I just got done reading it in Philippians chapter 2.

The Lord is making this message today through me with Philippians chapter 2. The Lord said, "They need to know how to be sure that they're going to make the Rapture". Those two verses that I read in Philippians 2 that when combined that I mentioned, are about exactly that: how to know for sure if you're going to make the Rapture. The Lord began teaching me how to know this for sure about two years ago. The answer is that the Lord is the one who prepares us for the Rapture. Not us.

So, I'll begin with the first verse from Philippians 2 that Lord wants you to know about today:

Philippians 2:3 Authorized (King James) Version 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

To begin this message on how to know for sure if you're going to make the Rapture, God wants you to think of others as better than yourself. This can only be done when you're loved by someone. But when you're loved by God, your value is nourished by God, and this enables you to give that value to others. Because you're loved by God and you feel good about yourself, you can condescend to other men. You can think of them as better than yourself because you're OK inside due to God's value and love for you.

So how does esteeming others as better than ourselves prepare us for the Rapture? This is where the first two verses come in that God gave me from Philippians 2. The answer is in these next scripture passages.

Philippians 2:12-13 Authorized (King James) Version 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:20-21 Authorized (King James) Version 20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

Can you hear from these passages from Philippians 2 what the Spirit is saying to the churches today? Combine Philippians 2: 3 with Philippians 2:13 and Philippians 2:21...what God is saying here is that the way to esteem others better than yourself is that God works in you to will and do of His good pleasure. People seek their own things, not the things of God Jesus Christ. But God works in them that seek their own things to make them seek the things of Jesus Christ instead of their own. God works in them to make them esteem others as better than themselves.

Can you hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches? God is the one who makes you esteem others as better than yourself. God is the one who makes people to seek the things of God instead of their own. God is the one who prepares you for the Rapture by working in you to do His will.

This is a message that God wants people to know about since 2019 about how to prepare for the Rapture. You don't. God does it. It's not your job to prepare yourself for the Rapture. It's the Holy Spirit's job.

You can't prepare yourself, can you? Your struggle is to know for sure how to make the Rapture, which denotes your insecurity to fail the Lord and miss the Rapture in eternal tears of regret. Don't worry. Only God can make you start esteeming others as better than yourself. Only God can make people seek the things of God instead of their own. That's a big problem in the church today. People seek their own things instead of seeking God first.

You know there's something you got to do to make the Rapture, don't you? Paul gives you your instructions for your part in making the Rapture here:

Work Out Your Own Salvation with God

Philippians 2:12 Authorized (King James) Version 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Work on it with God because He is the one that makes you obedient to Him. I want you to see from the beginning of this verse that Paul's point is "obedience". He says, "ye have always obeyed". Now combine this verse with the verse about esteeming others as better than yourself and the one about seeking the things of Christ instead of your own...you can't do it! Work on these things with God because He's the one that will make you obedient in order to make the Rapture.

I'm alive today after twenty-four years of backslidings to tell you this message. That, God is the one who makes you obedient so that you'll know for sure that you'll make the Rapture. If you're worried that you're going to miss the Rapture, work with Jesus on your insecurities, doubt and unbelief because He's the one that will make you obedient in order to make the Rapture.

If you're working out your own salvation with God, you don't have to worry about missing the Rapture from being careless toward God like Esau was careless toward God, because working on your salvation isn't being careless toward God, is it? Go with God and one day you'll hear the Lord Jesus say to you,

"Well done good and faithful servant".

Matthew 25:14-23 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country {says the Lord Jesus}, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 7:24-27 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them {says the Lord Jesus}, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The Christian Life is A Work of God

First comes faith in Christ, then the baptism into the Holy Spirit, or, the Anointing, then from within the Holy Spirit begins to work obedience in you. You can know for sure today that you're going to make the Rapture as you obey God through the Holy Spirit until the Rapture happens, because the Bible says,

Philippians 1:6 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 6 being confident of this very thing, that {God} which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

That verse is talking about making the Rapture. It's talking about God working obedience in you until the Lord Jesus returns. Let's read this verse in the Living Bible Version because you want to know for sure that you will make the Rapture, right? The Living Bible Version calls the Word "confidence" in the King James Version, the term, "I am sure". To "know for sure" is called "confidence in God". You can be confident in God that He will continue to work obedience in you until the Rapture happens, or, until the day that the Lord Jesus returns to earth to take us forever to heaven in the Rapture.

Philippians 1:6 Living Bible 6 And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.

What you need is confidence so that you know for sure that you're going to make the Rapture. The confidence comes from Phil. 2:13, that God works in you to do His Will. If you feel insecure about making the Rapture because you've been backsliding here and there, then know that God is the one that will make you obedient to His Word so that you make the Rapture, not you.

Know that Phil. 1:6 is saying that the Lord won't stop preparing you for the Rapture by working in you to obey His Word, until the Rapture happens. The Rapture is when God's task of working obedience in you stops because that's when you go to heaven. So today, you can know for sure that you will make the Rapture because the Holy Spirit will keep making you obedient until the Rapture happens. Let this truth build your confidence and faith in God to know that He will finish His task in you. Do you know what that task is? Phil. 1:6 says it: to make sure you make it in the Rapture. Read it over and over until you see that truth. That God's task is to make sure that you make the Rapture by working obedience in you today.

With This Message the Lord Will Turn Your Mourning Into Dancing

God will turn your mourning into dancing, and your insecurity into confidence in Him with this message from Him and you will know for sure that you're going to make the Rapture with His help.

Psalm 30:10-12 Authorized (King James) Version 10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; 12 to the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

And the Lord Will Lift Your Head In Confidence

Knowing That You're Going to Make the Rapture For Sure

Psalm 3:2-4 Authorized (King James) Version 2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

Obedience Is Necessary to Make the Rapture

Revelation 22:14 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 14 Blessed are they that do {Christ's} commandments, that they may have right to the tree of {eternal} life, and may enter in through the gates {of heaven} into {the New Jerusalem}.

Works Don't Count When It Comes to Salvation, or, Getting Saved

Ephesians 2:8-9 Authorized (King James) Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast.

Works Count After Salvation and Getting Saved

The Holy Spirit Works Obedience In Us Right Up to the Rapture

James 2:14-26 Authorized (King James) Version 14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

You Must First Be Born Again to Make the Rapture

Believing in Jesus Christ isn't enough to make the Rapture. You've got to be born again by the Holy Spirit after having first believed in Jesus Christ. To believe in Jesus Christ is called faith in Christ. The Lord Jesus Himself tells us in John chapter 3 that we get born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Him.

You can believe in Jesus, go to church and ask God to help you obey Him in order to make the Rapture. But if you're not born again, you will not see or enter heaven. If you are not born again, you will not make the Rapture. God has to be in you in order to work in you to do His will so that you make the Rapture.

John 3:1-21 Authorized (King James) Version 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

What Is Born Again?

Born again is spiritual washing, regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:4-7 Authorized (King James) Version 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Born again means to become a new person in Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Authorized (King James) Version 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Born again is the Holy Spirit entering your body to live in you and make you obedient by giving you a new heart and spirit through the spiritual washing, regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit's Presence in the baptism into the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 Authorized (King James) Version 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

How to Get Born Again

You get born again when you accept Christ into your life and ask for the Holy Spirit to come live inside you through the Baptism into the Holy Spirit.

Accept Christ Through Faith

Romans 10:6-17 Authorized (King James) Version 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Ask God the Father for the Baptism into the Holy Spirit

Luke 11:5-13 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 5 And {Jesus} said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Have You Received the Holy Spirit Since You believed In Jesus?

Acts 19:1-7 Authorized (King James) Version 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2 he said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. 4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7 And all the men were about twelve.

The Holy Falls in His Time

The Lord Jesus said in Jn 3: 8 that the Holy Spirit is like the wind. We cannot tell which way He will go next to baptize and make people born again. He may fall upon you before water baptism, or, after.

The Holy Spirit May Fall Right After Water Baptism to Make People Born Again

Acts 2:38-39 Authorized (King James) Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The Holy Spirit May Fall Before Water Baptism to Make People Born Again

Acts 10:43-48 Authorized (King James) Version 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
