Obeying God

reading rules and trying to do them without any reason is not going to work. God's rules are about knowing Him. Once you love God, you'll do what he says, and what He says is always for our good.

there's 2 motives in obeying God there: 1. knowing and loving him 2. cos his rules turn out for our good. But reading them at first, it's hard to do them cos you really don't care.

and that goes for anything. if you're not personally involved, you won't care enough to take commands.

it takes time to love God. first you have to get to know him. getting to know God takes time, and people fall in love with who they get to know. you get to know someone by spending time with them. spending time with God makes you love him cos you get to know him. that goes for any one as well. people and angels.

after you know God, you develop reasons for obeying Him because His word has become personalized.
