Spiritual Warfare

James 4 Authorized (King James) Version 1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. 11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? 13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

How To Make The Devil Run From You

Submit to God

Verses seven through ten show us that to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord, means to submit to God and to resist the Devil. To resist the Devil, therefore, means to submit to God and to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord.

To submit to God means to listen to His Spirit when He speaks instructions, or, Bible verses and passages, from the Bible to our memory that pertain to our situations in spiritual warfare. Notice verse seven says to submit to God and resist the Devil. Then verses eight through ten say to draw near to God and to cleanse our flesh, or, our hands and hearts. Then it says to be afflicted and humble ourselves in the of the Lord. To act like that when we're tempted to sin works, cos it cuts off the pleasure of sin in the flesh and nourishes that born again need in us to please God. When that happens, the Devil runs from us because he cannot make us sin in the flesh.

James 4:1-10 tell us to submit to God and to humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord as the topic. It tops off and names the victory over the inner battle of the flesh mentioned throughout the passage. But the subject is the inner battle of our flesh. Verses 1 through ten start off and end talking about the inner battle of the flesh. So the subject is the inner battle of the flesh. When we get victory with the Spirit and the Word over this inner battle of the flesh to obey God and the Bible, the Devil runs from us. When we have our body under the control of the Holy Spirit, the Devil cannot tempt us to sin with our bodies. So he runs from us. The Devil tempts our flesh to sin with lust. But we counter this inner battle of lust with the Bible and the subduing power of the Holy Spirit. Which means to ask the Holy Spirit to control our body parts.

The Inner Battle of the Flesh

The Lust of the Flesh, the Lust of the Eyes and the Pride of Life

1 John 2:15-17 Authorized (King James) Version 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Whenever we feel the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, the Devil is there, unseen, trying to make us sin so that he can enter our home and relax in our sin. When the Devil is there through sin, the Holy Spirit seems to leave. He doesn't leave the born again and Spirit baptized Christian (Heb. 13:5). He's there watching (Pr. 15:3).

When we don't sin with our body, but instead submit to God and listen to the Bible, or, be empowered by the Holy Spirit to cleanse the lust of the flesh and obey the Bible instead, the Devil runs from us.

This inner battle between the lust of the flesh and sin vs obeying the Bible through the power of the Holy Spirit, is detailed more in Romans 7 and Galatians 5.

Romans 7 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Galatians 5 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. 11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. 12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you. 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Ask the Holy Spirit For Help With Lust

Once when I was experiencing the lust of the flesh, the Lord said to me,

"Sin (or gratification) is not how to deal with your desires. Asking Me to help you {not to gratify temptation} is".

When we ask God to control our flesh so that we do not sin, the Devil leaves us.

Use the Word in the Power of the Spirit and the Devil Will Leave You

Matthew 4:1-11 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Notice in this verses that the Lord controlled His flesh with the Bible. When the Holy Spirit is in control of your body, so that you don't sin as Jesus did not, you will instead of sin, quote the Bible in the power of the Spirit like a wielding sword in the Devil's face.

Ephesians 6:10-20 Authorized (King James) Version 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

To Be Tempted of the Devil You First Got to Be Seen By Him

John 11:9-10 Contemporary English Version 9 Jesus answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours in each day? If you walk during the day, you will have light from the sun, and you won’t stumble. 10 But if you walk during the night, you will stumble, because you don’t have any light.”

The Archangel Michael once told me that God does not want me out at midnight because that's when the demons hunt for men. He said that God made the sun so a man can see what he's doing when he works. He said that God wants me to go outside during the day and to sleep at night. He said that if we sleep at night, the demons that cause us backslidings, won't be in our house with us tempting us with lust to sin, because they won't see us if we're asleep at night. He said that if we go outside at midnight, that demons will hunt us. Which means that they'll follow you to your house and start tempting you to sin.

He said that the Lord doesn't want people sleeping in the middle of the day. He wants them working for Him with a church during the day and to sleep at night. Why? To keep the Devil from seeing us and entering our houses. This is called "fellowship with demons" (1 Cor. 10:21). To not have the Devil around means no spiritual warfare and a good time with God and the Angels instead. That's God's Will for us. If we work at night, we'll have problems sinning because the Devil works at night. So it's pretty easy to make the Devil run from you. Stay in at night and submit your body to the control of the Holy Spirit by keeping God first, and the Devil will run from you.

I can testify what the Lord feels like and what the Devil feels like. By the use of the word "feel", I mean to sense their presence. When the Devil's around, I get lusty. I start to idolize things. I start watching ungodly worldly movies and listening to ungodly worldly music. I start to drift from Keeping God first in my heart. I feel like a friend of the world instead of Anointed. I start to feel like I did 30 years ago.

But when the Holy Spirit is in control, I keep God first in my heart. Which means that there's no Devil around and I'm keeping God first with my movies and music, and I'm into Bible study all the time. I'm not having problems with sin and lust when the Holy Spirit is in control. I'm in the Spirit instead. It's a godly atmosphere that puts God first. When I listen to God, I'm in the Spirit like that. When I go out at midnight instead of sleep, I get into the Spirit when I get back and then there's no Devil around with it's worldly and ungodly atmosphere. If I don't keep God first, the Devil comes in my through my front door.

If I'm awake after midnight, I don't go outside. If the Devil doesn't see me outside after midnight, he can't follow me and cause problems for me and God at my house. I stay sucker free and void having to fight the Devil and can go on growing in the Lord as I keep God first in my heart. If I have to go outside, I get rid of the Devil by keeping God first when I get back. That nasty sensation in the air leaves and a glow enters my house from within. It's the Presence of God and the Angels of Light.

It's like the Devil is watching me in the walls of my house. He can't enter cos God is first in my heart and the Holy Spirit withholds the Devil from coming in. It's like, I'm a ball of light that permeates to the walls of my house when I keep God first. If I don't listen to God, a dark path toward me is opened for the Devil to come in, and he does. I'll feel that worldly spirit that idolizes the things around me to spend time with them instead of spend time with God keeping God first.

So remember this:

1) When the Devil is around, you'll have problems in your body with lust.

2) You'll begin to be friendly with the world and drift from keeping God first in your heart.

3) You'll feel like a man, or, a human, instead of Anointed. You'll feel like you did before you got saved. Like a human suffering with the sin problem (Rom. 7).

If you stay in at midnight, you won't have problems with lust in your body. You'll keep God first. There will be no spiritual warfare. Instead you'll glow and grow. The Lord wants you to know that the enemy attacks us Christians like this, because he wants to stop us from growing. Satan's strategy is to stunt our spiritual growth; to keep the Church in an infant condition, through persecution. Harassment and attack keep people in infancy because they stop growing. If you're fighting, you're not growing. That's the enemy's goal: to keep us infants in Christ so that we do not mature and get the victory over him. It's pretty easy to get the victory and make the Devil run from us:

1) Stay in at midnight

2) Keep God first

If you're keeping God first, you're growing. If you're lusting, you're not growing. The Devil tempts the flesh with lust. Keeping God first puts the flesh to death and makes the Devil run from you. When you put Christian TV and Christian music on, if you keep God first in your tv and radio choices, the Word preached and the Word sung, makes ghosts leave your house.

Another Reason Why To Work In The Day And Sleep At Night

Your nature, the Bible calls your nature "the natural man" (1 Cor. 2:13-15). Your natural self (not your spiritual life) is another reason to work in the day and go home at night. The Devil is backwards and if you don't listen to God, you'll be a backwards man or woman. Your body is made to work in the day and to make love at night. If you work at night, you'll be making love at work instead of working. Yes, the Devil is involved in the sex life after hours at night. Your body will want to have sex at night. Not work. At night, you won't have the energy that you do during the day to work, because God made the sun so a man can see what he's doing at work in the day, not at night. If you sleep in the day and work at night, you'll become backwards. Which means that the energy to work during the day won't be there when you go to work at night because you slept the daytime hours and the energy to work, away. And you'll be filled with lust because the Devil will be hitting on you with lust at night and all you'll be doing is having sex at work at night because that's the time God made for man and woman to make babies: at night.

If you sleep in the day and work at night, all you're going to want to do when you get to work, is have sex. That's crazy isn't it? God calls it backwards. Work with your nature. Work in the day cos you'll have the right energy to work, and stay home at night with your wife cos that's the time for the God given energy to make babies. Night is the God given time to be at home in bed with your wife, not at work.

Hebrews 13:4 Authorized (King James) Version 4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Some people that must work at night: God says that we can work the graveyard shift at night after midnight. I would advise you to stay in the Spirit at work after midnight. Stay in your work house after midnight. Be a Christian witness at work. Play your Christian music and Christian TV while you work. Stay in the Spirit after midnight out in the Devil's jungle. Do at work what you do at home to stay in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:13-26 Authorized (King James) Version 13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Will Worship

Colossians 2:20-23 Authorized (King James) Version 20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

To keep God first in death to the flesh, is the work of the Holy Spirit, not the human will (Rom. 8:12-14). People believe in Jesus, but they must be born again and Spirit filled to be genuine Christians (Acts 19:1-7). Religion, believers in God who have not been born again and Spirit filled (Jms. 1:27), can control the lusts of the flesh with the will. Religious people worship God by using their will to control the lusts of the flesh and to obey God. This is not what God and I are talking about in this blog. We're talking about being Anointed by the Holy Spirit and operating in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. chs. 12-14) and growing in the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23/ Eph. 5:8-10), to keep God first. We're talking about keeping God first through the power of the Spirit, not willpower (Rom. 8:1-11/ 1 Cor. 4:20).

Jude 17-25 Authorized (King James) Version 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

2 Timothy 3:1-9 Authorized (King James) Version 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

God has to be in you to make the Devil run cos religious people get beat up by Satan.

Acts 19:13-16 Authorized (King James) Version 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

If you believe in Jesus but don't have His Holy Spirit living inside you, I'll show you how to do it in the closing of this blog.

This is what Father God says about will worship and the New Birth,

"It must be the Holy Spirit that makes you new, or you are not My child".

See these Bible passages to understand what God's is saying in this statement:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Authorized (King James) Version 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 25 Then will I {the Lord God} sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Titus 3:4-7 Authorized (King James) Version 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

1 Peter 1:22-25 Authorized (King James) Version 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 but the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

John 3 Authorized (King James) Version 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. 25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 8 Authorized (King James) Version 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 4 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. 8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. 12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all. 13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first. 14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. 15 Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me. 16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? 17 They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them. 18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. 19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, 20 I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. 21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

James 4:7 commands us to submit to God. This is referring to our will. We submit our will to God's will. We don't use it to worship Him, or, use it in place of the Holy Spirit to obey God. The Lord Jesus gave us an example of submitting our will to God in the Gospel of Luke,

Luke 22:41-42 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 41 And {Jesus} was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Not Mine But Thine

Not My Will, O God, But Yours Be Done

To submit to God's will means to deny yourself and take up your Cross and follow Jesus (Lk. 9:23). And to kill the flesh (1 Cor. 15:31). To kill the flesh with obedience is called quicken and mortification (Rom. 8:11-13), crucifixion (Gal 2:20) and sanctification (1 Pt. 1:2). Will worship is not the sanctification of the Holy Spirit. It is religion. Religion is Man's way of reaching God. True religion, or, Christianity, is God reaching down to Man.

When a person gets born again, according to Eze. 36:25-27, the Holy Spirit creates a new heart that needs to keep God first. The Holy Spirit Anoints us to keep God first. Everyday when we wake up, we need to nourish that new and anointed desire to please God and to keep Him first with obedience. Obedience, according to James 4, will make the Devil run from you without a fight. Obedience is how to make the Devil run from you. This is what sanctification, crucifixion, mortification, killing the flesh and denying self is about. True children of God are not into will worship. We're into sanctification of the flesh through the Spirit unto obedience.

So if you have religious tenet and are worshiping God with your will and not worshiping God in the Holy Spirit, then you need to get born again and baptized into the Holy Spirit by faith in Christ to be a genuine Christian who mortifies the flesh with obedience to the Word through the sanctifying power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Jn. 3). Which I'll get to at the end of this blog.

Sanctification Is How We Get Eternal Life

Obedience is how we get into heaven's gates.

Revelation 22:14-15 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 14 Blessed are they that do {Jesus'} commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Learning to obey Jesus is a lifelong process. Sanctification is progressive: Progressive Sanctification. We learn to obey God with every situation as we put to death the flesh. The flesh to sin dies and we become righteous in obedience as we obey Jesus. Obedience through the Holy Spirit kills the flesh. This process gives us "the right" to enter heaven, as Revelation 22:14 reveals.

For example, the Lord once said to me,

"Sin (or gratification) is not how to deal with your desires. Asking Me to help you {not to gratify temptation} is".

when we ask the Holy Spirit for help to not gratify temptation and then refuse to give in to the temptation, soon, in a few minutes, the body part or the desire, is no longer in charge. The Holy Spirit is in charge and the temptation, the feeling, is gone from my body parts and the Anointing to keep God first, stays intact and in control.

The Lord said to me,

"That's how you make the Rapture".

1) Ask the Holy Spirit for help when tempted

2) Refuse to sin

3) The Anointing to keep God first helps me conquer the temptation and the Anointing stays instead of sin

Let me write out for you here the messages I have recorded about this message, so that you can understand and imitate me as I listen to the Lord:

"I had bad feelings for an enemy. And the Lord told me to pray for Him, that he wouldn't get killed when his wife comes to see him. And I didn't want to. I wanted to justify my feelings (let him get killed). But I listened to the Lord and I prayed, and He said",

"That's how you gain eternal life. When you put your flesh to death".

From the personal experience with the Holy Spirit above, I learned how to gain eternal life through the sanctification of the Spirit. There also are scripture passages that talk about gaining eternal life through the sanctification of the Spirit. I have them referenced above. Notice how they talk about becoming obedient through the Spirit to gain eternal life.

To Not Sin Means to Love the Lord

John 14:15-21 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 15 {And Jesus said} If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Another way to say to not sin, is to say that we love Jesus. The reason that we stop sinning is because we love the Lord. The Holy Spirit has birthed in our hearts a new love for Jesus. That's a good motive. But it takes progressive sanctification to get there.

Soldiers of Christ In the Army of the Lord

Against Satan and his Evil Hierarchy

2 Timothy 2:1-4 Authorized (King James) Version

1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Authorized (King James) Version 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The Lord's Basic Combat Training

Red Phase:

Word In, Word Out

World In, World Out

Learning the Lord's values, traditions and ethics called The Word of God, or, the Bible.

In the Red Phase, you will be issued a Bible from the Lord that you will love and get to know inside out. It will become your best friend for life. Your first Bible. This is your defense against the enemy, the Devil and his army (Eph. 6:17).

The Holy Spirit in this phase, will put in you an insatiable need for reading the Bible. All you will want to do in the Red Phase is read the Bible. This phase will put the Word deep in your heart so that it will come to memory in the future when you need it on the battlefield of earth. The Word in this phase, will clean and shape, for the rest of your life, who you are. It will create a new you. It will create the way you talk, think, see, walk and live. You will become a child of God.

When you put the Bible in your heart through listening to it preached and taught publicly and also through private devotions by reading it for yourself, it goes into your heart and comes back out. Whatever you put into your heart through your sensory gates, comes back out through them and forms the wat we talk, think, see, walk and live. Word in, Word out. World In, World Out.

Proverbs 4:20-27 Authorized (King James) Version 20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. 24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. 25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Psalm 119:8-10 Authorized (King James) Version 8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy

John 17 Authorized (King James) Version 1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

At the end of the Red Phase, you will be tested on the field with Drills on what you've been taught in the initial indoctrination of the Holy Spirit part of the Red Phase. This is when you learn from mistakes. You do on the field what you were taught in the book so that by mistakes, you can perfect what you know through practice. Practice makes perfect.

White Phase

In the White Phase you will be tested by the Lord over and over with more Drills on the field so that you can perfect how to use your Bible in the face of the Devil and how to win the fights that he starts with you and your church. You will learn how to fight the Devil and win for yourself and your church.

Blue Phase

In the Blue Phase you will reach the Confidence Morale training with mental and physical challenges. You'll learn how to recognize threats from the enemy and how to neutralize them properly so that you and your church will encourage each other to persevere to the end in order to be saved, when you reach heaven's gates.

The Lord's Basic Training is not a ten week training course like the U.S. Army's boot camp is. These phases occur over the span of your life. The Red Phase begins after your baptism into the Holy Spirit. The White and Blue Phases occur over your life span after your baptism into the Holy Spirit.

The Army's Field Drills perfect what you've learned in the books with practice on the practice field. The basic training in that ten weeks needs to be in their memory so that they don't forget what to do off the training field in real combat in the face of the enemy. It's OK to make mistakes because mistakes are what you learn from. Remembering what you've learned in basic training is vital. They are what will save your life in a real threat from the enemy.

It is the same in the life as a Christian. This is why the Holy Spirit reminds us of what we learned from the Bible in the Red Phase of the Lord's Basic Bible Training that occurs right after you get baptized into the Holy Spirit. We need to know what to do.

What if we forget the Bible? You will lose to the enemy if you forget what to do. Thank God the Holy Spirit is on earth living inside of us Christians to remind us what our Drill Sergeant, the Lord Jesus, taught us about the Bible in the Red Phase.

The Bible Is the Voice of the Holy Spirit

On the Battle field of life with sin and the Devil, the Holy Spirit prophetically brings to memory whatever the Bible says that speaks to our battle's situation. When this happens, it is God talking to us, and the proper way to speak what is being said to your memory to the face of the enemy, is to speak as Jesus did to the Devil in Matthew 4:1-11,

"It is written"! Then you quote the Bible verse or passage that is being sent to your memory by the Holy Spirit to the face of the enemy. You may also speak as a prophet and address the enemy and the situation for you and your church saying, "Thus says the Lord", or, "This is what the Lord says", or, "This is what the Holy Spirit says". Then you quote the Bible verse or passage that the Holy Spirit is saying to your memory to the face of the enemy. To do so, is to put the Devil's face under the Bayonet of the Lord! The sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, or, the Bible.

People also ask

What is a bayonet and what is it used for?

  • A bayonet (from French baïonnette) is a knife, sword, or spike-shaped weapon designed to fit on the end of a rifle's muzzle, allowing it to be used as a spear. From the 17th century to World War I, it was considered the primary weapon for infantry attacks.

The Word of our God Jesus, is a sword in His mouth, which is the sword of the Spirit. Whatever Jesus says, comes from what He said in the air, or, in the Holy Spirit. Then the Holy Spirit creates whatever Jesus said. This is why the sword of the Spirit is in the mouth of the God Jesus.

Revelation 1 Authorized (King James) Version 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11 saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 and his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; 20 the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

In war, the fighting makes us forget our training. In war, we need to be reminded of what we were taught by the Holy Spirit in the Red Phase so that we can remember what to do and win the battle. To be reminded of what we were taught in basic training, is a war tactic. This is why the Holy Spirit reminds us of what the Bible says.

The war that I'm referring to is called "persecution" in the Bible. The Lord Jesus taught us that Satan comes to steal the Word sown in our hearts. And likewise, the seed of the Word is scorched by the heat of persecution and withers away. This is why the Holy Spirit reminds us of what the Bible says. It's so that we overcome and triumph over sin and the Devil in the heat of persecution with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, the Bible. The Bible is our defense. The Bible are the Words of the God Jesus. The bayonet of the Spirit in the mouth of Christ.

Mark 4:1-20 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased}

1 And {Jesus} began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. 9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

The Holy Spirit reminds us of what the Word of God, Jesus, the Bible, says, so that the Devil cannot steal the Bible sown in our hearts, or, make it whither under the scorching and blistering heat of persecution. To the intent that in the end, we enter heaven's gates forever to be with the Lord face to face! If you don't remember the Word during an attack, the Devil will defeat you.

The Bayonet of the Spirit

Which Is the Word of God

(Ephesians 6:17)

Hebrews 4:12-14 New Living Translation 12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

The Greek word for the English word "sword" in Ephesians 6:17, is the word "maxairon". It is talking about the short sword carried by the Roman foot soldier from that era. This is not the large broad sword carried by the heavy cavalry. This short sword would range in size from 6 to 18 inches. It was the weapon used in hand to hand combat. Look again at Matthew 4:1-11...the Lord Jesus was doing hand to hand combat with the Devil out in the woods back in the day. It was a spiritual fight. The Lord stuck the Devil three times with His maxairon, or, as we term it today, bayonet, of the Spirit, which is the Bible.

In the Red phase of the Lord's Army boot camp, you learned to know your Bible inside out and it became your best friend. You can rightly divide the Bible, word of truth, and know which Scriptures to use on the enemy in any given situation. However, to know with precision and skill in both defensive and offensive uses, the finite and mortal human being needs a more omnipotent mind to know which scriptures are correct and appropriate for use in the face of the enemy in any given situation we battle the enemy in. This is the job of the Holy Spirit. Again, the Lord Jesus in Jn 14:26 tells us that the Holy Spirit will remind us of everything He has said in the Bible. The maxarion of the Spirit is in the mouth of the Lord Jesus (Rev. 1:16). He is the Word of God, the Bible (Rev. 19:13-15). The words of Jesus, the Bible, are the bayonet we use in face to face combat with Satan. The Holy Spirit reminds us of the scriptures to stab the Devil with.

When you hear scriptures coming to your memory, that is the Holy Spirit talking to you and giving you the right and exact scriptures you need to slice the Devil up with. This is a supernatural experience with the Lord when this happens. It happens about a thousand times a day for the average Christian. The Devil will turn and run from you when you speak those scriptures coming to your memory from the Holy Spirit to him like he did from the Lord Jesus in Matthew 4. Only the Holy Spirit can give the right scriptures to stab the Devil with.

You can quote those scriptures to the face of the enemy that come to your memory from the Holy Spirit like the Lord Jesus did in Mt. 4:1-11 and say to the Devil's face, "It is written! Then you quote the scripture. Or, you can say, "Thus says the Lord", Or, "This is what the Holy Spirit says". I personally choose to speak as a prophet and say, "This is what the Holy Spirit says" because that is what I am.

Whether you choose to say it the way the Lord Jesus did and say, "It is written", or speak as a prophet and say, "This is what the Holy Spirit says", is up to you. As long as you quote those scriptures coming to your memory from the Holy Spirit. You need to speak those scriptures coming to your memory. Your words stab the Devil when you speak God's Word.

Psalm 18 Authorized (King James) Version Psalm 18 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, 1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. 6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. 7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. 8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. 9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. 10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. 11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. 12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. 13 The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. 14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them. 15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils. 16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. 17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. 18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. 19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. 20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. 21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. 22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me. 23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity. 24 Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. 25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; 26 with the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. 27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks. 28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. 29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. 30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. 31 For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God? 32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. 35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. 36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. 37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed. 38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. 39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. 40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me. 41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the Lord, but he answered them not. 42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets. 43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me. 44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me. 45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places. 46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. 47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me. 48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. 49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name. 50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

The Word of Faith

Romans 10:6-17 Authorized (King James) Version 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 and how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:17 says that Bible creates faith. If you ever forget the Bible and get weakened faith in God, pick up the Bible and start studying it. Or, go to church. Or, turn on Christian TV to hear the Word taught and preached. Putting the Word of God, the Bible, into your heart through your eyes and ears, will create faith in God in the heart. We need to study the Bible or listen to it on social media for the Word to be in our heart for the Holy Spirit to remind us of what the Bible says later on in an attack.

Study to Show Yourself Approved to God

2 Timothy 2:15 Authorized (King James) Version 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Put the Word back in your heart through your sensory system; the ears and eyes as Proverbs 4 says to. Re-study the Basic Training guide to refresh your memory. There's no way for the Holy Spirit to remind you of the Word if it is not in your heart. The Word first goes into the heart through the eyes and ears when we hear it taught and preached, or, when we study it for ourselves. If the Bible is not in the heart, we will see it with our eyes or hear it with our ears for it to go inside our hearts. So study the Bible to get the Word in you, so that,

1) we never forget it

2) so that it will fresh in your memory for use on the enemy,

3) and so that the Holy Spirit can remind us of what it says when we need it in a fight with Satan.

If the Bible is in you, the first thing the Devil will do, according to the Lord Jesus is Mark 4:1-20, is to get it out of you because it is his defeat in battles (Vv. 14, 15). So don't let the Bible leave your heart and memory and you'll always wield the Bayonet of the Spirit to the throat of the Devil. Study it always and go to church to always to hear it to keep it in the midst of your heart and memory so that when the Devil runs to you to steal the Word from your heart, he will meet in you the sword (bayonet) of the Spirit in the mouth of the Lord Jesus at his throat and will turn and run from you.

Psalm 119 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. 5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! 6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. 7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. 8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes. 13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. 16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. 17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word. 18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. 19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me. 20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times. 21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments. 22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies. 23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. 24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. 25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word. 26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. 27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. 28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. 29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously. 30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. 31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame. 32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. 33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. 34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. 35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. 36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. 37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. 38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. 39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good. 40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness. 41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word. 42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. 43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. 45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. 46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. 47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. 48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. 49 Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. 50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. 51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law. 52 I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and have comforted myself. 53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law. 54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage. 55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law. 56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts. 57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words. 58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word. 59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. 60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. 61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law. 62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. 63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. 64 The earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes. 65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word. 66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. 68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. 69 The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart. 70 Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. 71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. 72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. 73 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. 74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word. 75 I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. 76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. 77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight. 78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts. 79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies. 80 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed. 81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word. 82 Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? 83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes. 84 How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? 85 The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law. 86 All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me. 87 They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts. 88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. 89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. 90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. 91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. 92 Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. 93 I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me. 94 I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts. 95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies. 96 I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad. 97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. 101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. 102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. 103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. 107 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word. 108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments. 109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. 110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. 111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. 112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end. 113 I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. 114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. 115 Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. 116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. 117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. 118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood. 119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies. 120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments. 121 I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors. 122 Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me. 123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness. 124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes. 125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies. 126 It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law. 127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. 128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. 129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. 130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. 131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. 132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. 135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. 136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law. 137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments. 138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. 139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. 140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. 141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts. 142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. 144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live. 145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes. 146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. 147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word. 148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word. 149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O Lord, quicken me according to thy judgment. 150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law. 151 Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy commandments are truth. 152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever. 153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. 154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word. 155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes. 156 Great are thy tender mercies, O Lord: quicken me according to thy judgments. 157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. 158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. 159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy lovingkindness. 160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. 161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word. 162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. 163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love. 164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments. 165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. 166 Lord, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments. 167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly. 168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee. 169 Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word. 170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word. 171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes. 172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness. 173 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts. 174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight. 175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me. 176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Revelation 2:1-7 Authorized (King James) Version 1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Hosea 4:16 Authorized (King James) Version 16 For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the Lord will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

Jeremiah 3 Authorized (King James) Version 1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the Lord. 2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. 3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore’s forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed. 4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? 5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest. 6 The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. 7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. 9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks. 10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah. 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever. 13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the Lord. 14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: 15 and I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more. 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. 18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers. 19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me. 20 Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the Lord. 21 A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the Lord their God. 22 Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee: for thou art the Lord our God. 23 Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel. 24 For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25 We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God.

When you sin, you're going to go back on God; backslide, and the Devil's there like a friend. But he isn't a friend. He's there to kill you with sin by acting friendly (Jn. 8:44). He's going to entice the lust of your flesh to do things that bring pleasure to your flesh, but kill your spirit and your eternal life (Gen. 3:1-7/ Heb. 11:25/ Rom. 6:23). He's seems friendly by offering you pleasure. But the pleasure are the ways of death (Pr. 14:12; 16:25). What the Devil is trying to do is take you from God to hell.

So when you backslide and sin, the Devil's there, and the Lord's work on your heart stops. The part that makes you love Jesus instead of sin, to obey God instead of sin. The fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The part that's been keeping you dying to self and killing the flesh to gain eternal life, your spiritual life, stops growing. If you keep on obeying God, your spirit is growing into the image of God (2 Cor. 3:17, 18). If you sin, you begin to go back. You stop putting God first. The work to keep God first stops.

Whether the Lord's got you watching Christian TV to keep Him first, you're going to watch worldly movies. If He's got you listening to Christian music instead of worldly music, to keep Him first, keeping Him first is going to stop. That spiritual growth is going to stop. You'll begin to go into the spiral to the bottomless pit; the serpent's spiral downward. And the Lord is still there in you because you're happy. The joy of the Lord hasn't left you (Heb. 13:5).

So what you've got to do is use the Anointing in you to keep God first. Just start doing it. Repent and do the first works (Rev. 2:4, 5) and you'll be restored (Acts 3:19). When you do, the Presence of the Lord is going to be in control of your flesh. When you submit to God, the Devil's going to leave. Restore your fellowship, or, communion (2 Cor. 13:14) with the Holy Spirit by keeping God first. And the Devil will run from you.

1 John 1:5-10 Authorized (King James) Version 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

How to Receive the Holy Spirit

As promised, here is how to get the Holy Spirit inside of you, not only for victory over sin and the Devil, and for prophetic utterances from the Holy Spirit to your memory. But receiving the Holy Spirit is salvation itself, which water baptism represents.

Acts 2:38 Authorized (King James) Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Romans 6 Authorized (King James) Version 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Prayer Of Faith

The Lord Jesus said that to receive the Holy Spirit, all we have to do is ASK God for the Holy Spirit.

Ask God to baptize you into the Holy Spirit in prayer.

Luke 11:5-13 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 5 And {Jesus} said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Prayer is the subject in Luke 11:5-13 above. The topic is faith. The Prayer of Faith. The Bible is the word of faith (Rom. 10:8). The Bible creates faith. It creates faith inside the prayer of faith (Rom. 10:17). The prayer of faith comes from the Bible, and what it says about your prayer petition. For example, the Bible is full of promises about your every need and desire. You find verses that speak about what you need and want. You pray these verses until, like the Lord Jesus said in Lk. 11:5-13, you get an answer from God. Receiving the Holy Spirit is called the Baptism into the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4). The Prayer of Faith is called a Prayer Petition.

The Word of Faith

Salvation, the baptism into the Holy Spirit, and anything else that the Bible talks about in life, is received by the faith that the Bible creates called the word of faith. Here again is a Bible passage that will build your faith in prayer to receive salvation.

Use your faith and make your own prayer of faith based on Romans 10:9, 10...use your faith based on Luke 11:5-13 and Romans 10:6-17 to create your own prayer to receive the Holy Spirit. Salvation and the baptism into the Holy Spirit are both works of the Holy Spirit. They don't have a written order in the Bible for them to occur in your life by. What's written, is that the Holy Spirit is like the wind and we cannot tell which way He will go next to give eternal life. Eternal life is called by the Lord Jesus, getting born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Him.

Salvation, or getting born again by the Holy Spirit, can come before or after the baptism into the Holy Spirit.

After Salvation

Acts 2:38 Authorized (King James) Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Before Salvation

Acts 10:43-48 Authorized (King James) Version 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Amen.

The Lord wants me to add this integration into this message. The Lord wants us to know that we need the Holy Spirit to remind us of the Bible. Without it, we would die. That's how much we need God's plan and Will. That's how much we need Jesus. Without Him, we're dung.
