The Baptism Into the Spirit

Updated: Jan 30, 2022

Acts 8:9-24 Authorized (King James) Version 9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10 to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. 18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. 24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

The Lord told me to put this message up to people who want my power to prophesy for personal profit and not to honor the Lord Jesus Christ with it. You are like Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8 quoted above. Your heart is not right in the sight of God. Simon was about to be baptized into the Holy Spiri with the rest of Samaria, but the devil stopped it because the devil had him "in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity".

This message is a correction from the Lord to you who want to use the power of prophecy to make money. You want to use the power of God to make money. The power of God is to save souls, not to make money. You cannot use money to buy the gift of the baptism into the Holy Spirit, nor any of the 9-gifts of the Holy Spirit, of which prophesy is one (1 Cor. 12:4-11).

Without the Baptism into the Holy Spirit

People Seek Their Own Things, and not the Things of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You are like this because like Simon the sorcerer, you believe in the Lord Jesus and have even been water baptized. But you have not been saved yet. To get saved, you must be born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Christ. Once the Lord baptizes you into His Spirit, that's when you will receive one or more of the 9-spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit for service to God in an office. Thus, your dead human nature is to seek your own profit and edification. But those that have been born again, have been given new hearts by the Holy Spirit to seek the things of Jesus Christ's instead of their own. This means to put God first. Only God can make people put Him first. This new spiritual nature and heart is called being "born again".

Simon the sorcerer believed in Jesus and was water baptized, but he was not born again with a new spiritual nature to obey God instead of live for money. He wanted his desires first because He didn't know God through the baptism into the Holy Spirit.

When people get baptized into the Holy Spirit after first believing in Christ and then getting water baptized, the Holy Spirit falls upon us and transforms our hearts with a new spiritual nature that wants to serve Jesus and puts God first. This is called getting "born again".

You that want to buy the Holy Spirit with money, and/or, want to use the Holy Spirit's gift of prophecy, or one or more of the gifts of the Spirit to make money, also need to be born again by the Holy Spirit. When God comes to live inside of you through the baptism into the Holy Spirit, that is when you are saved because God the Holy Spirit makes you reborn with a holy and God loving spiritual nature, with a new heart and spirit. That's what salvation is, getting a new and right heart and spirit from God the Holy Spirit. This is what God wants to do for you today who hear the call to eternal life in this message...

Philippians 2:2-21 Authorized (King James) Version 2 fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. 17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. 19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. 20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

The Holy Spirit is A Gift from God

You Cannot Buy the Holy Spirit from God

Acts 2:38-39 Authorized (King James) Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The Baptism into the Holy Spirit Is When We Get Born Again

To Be Born Again Is to Be Given New Hearts, New Spirits

And the Presence of God Inside Your Body to Make You Obey the Bible

Ezekiel 36:25-27 Authorized (King James) Version 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The Power to Prophecy Comes After the Baptism into the Holy Spirit

First Comes the Baptism into the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:38-39 Authorized (King James) Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Then Comes the Gift(s) of the Spirit After the Spirit's Baptism

Of Which Prophecy Is One Gift Out of Nine

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 Authorized (King James) Version 4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

God's Plan of Salvation

God's plan of salvation for mankind is to save them from sin, death and the devil. He does this through the Holy Spirit called the baptism into the Holy Spirit. This is what the Lord Jesus calls being "born again" in John chapter 3. He says that we are born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Him with new life from heaven. A new spiritual life in this life and a new spiritual body in the life to come after the Rapture called the First Resurrection.

John 3:1-21 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 {Born Again by the Holy Spirit} Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 {Born Again through faith in Christ} And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are {dead in Jesus}, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope {of the resurrection from the dead}. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which {are physically dead} in Jesus will God bring with him {at the coming of the Lord}. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are {dead in Jesus}. 16 For the Lord {Jesus} himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up {Raptured - "rapturo" Latin Vulgate} together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord {Jesus} in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50-58 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We {Christians} shall not all {physically die}, but we shall all {both the living and dead Christians} be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead {in Christ} shall be raised {with incorruptible {bodies}, and we {who are alive when this happens} shall be changed {with them in incorruptible bodies}. 53 For this corruptible {body} must put on incorruption, and this mortal {body} must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory {over death and sin} through our Lord Jesus Christ {in the Rapture, or, the first resurrection}. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord {because our work gives us the right to eternal life in the First Resurrection Rev. 22:14}.

Revelation 20:1-7 Authorized (King James) Version 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

The Baptism into the Holy Spirit IS Your Salvation

Being Born Again Is the Work of the Holy Spirit

Called Spiritual Washing, Regeneration and Renewing

Titus 3:4-7 Authorized (King James) Version 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Thus, one cannot buy the Holy Spirit nor use the gift of prophecy to make money. You need to be born again, not try to buy the Holy Spirit or try to use the gift of prophecy to make money. God doesn't want your money. He wants your soul.

The Holy Spirit is our salvation. The gifts of the Spirit that comes after the baptism into the Holy Spirit, are for service to God to save the human soul. Money is obsolete from the salvation of the Holy Spirit inside the human soul and body. Amen.

If you have read God's message to you here today, you can get saved the same way that Simon the sorcerer did. Look again at the opening Bible passage for the instructions on how to get saved by the Holy Spirit today...

Acts 8:13 Authorized (King James) Version 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

1) believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

2) and be baptized in water in His name.

Acts 8:22 Authorized (King James) Version 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

3) Repent

4) and pray to God.

There is a scripture passage that tells you what to do.

Acts 2:38-39 Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased} 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized {in water} every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

You will receive the baptism into the Holy Spirit after you do those four things: believe, repent, get baptized in water and pray for the baptism into the Holy Spirit. Ask God the Father for the baptism into the Holy Spirit and He will give Him to you, so that you may receive eternal life instead of idolize money.

Pray This Confession of Faith in Christ the Lord

Because You Believe in Him

Romans 10:9-10 Authorized (King James) Version 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The Holy Spirit is Given by the Same Faith That made You Pray Romans 10:9, 10 Above

Which Means to Ask God for the Holy Spirit

Luke 11:1-13 Authorized (King James) Version 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. 5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
