The Gospel According To Nicodemus - The Book Of Nicodemus Ruler Of The Jews Narrated By High Priest Annanias

Updated: Feb 1

Matthew 27:50-53

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

50 Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in {two} from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks {broke}; 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which {died} arose 53 and came out of the graves after His resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared {to} many.

Born Again by the Holy Spirit

Through Faith in Jesus

Who is Nicodemus? The Pharisee in John 3 that went to Jesus quietly at night because he believed in Him. This man got born again by faith in Christ after Christ had spoken to him about the New Birth and getting born again (Jn. 3).

John 3 is the chapter in the Bible where the Son of God tells Nicodemus (and us) that the way to heaven is by the Holy Spirit through faith in Him. The first eight verses reveal that we get reborn by the Holy Spirit and verses nine through twenty-one reveal that we get reborn by faith in Jesus. Born again by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus.

The Book of Nicodemus

The book of Nicodemus was written by Nicodemus after he got saved. It is his Gospel account like Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But in it is a chapter called "Christ's Descent into Hades".

This chapter is about Mt. 27:52, 53 when many saints came back to life and went into the city and talked to many people while the Lord Jesus was also appearing to people after His resurrection.

This account talks about a portion of history that people try to hide like they do the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Imagine that...for forty days and nights while the Lord Jesus appeared to people after His resurrection, those saints that were resurrected with Christ were also doing the same thing...

Listen to this book about the reality of hell and what Christ did to save us from it...

A Word to Equip You

For the Work of the Ministry

To Get People Out of Hell

(Eph. 4:8-12)

Matthew 28:18-20

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

18 And Jesus came and {spoke to the disciples} saying,

"All power is given {to} Me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go therefore and teach all nations.

Baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

And lo, I am with you {always}, even {to} the end of the world.

Amen".

Mark 16:14-18

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

14 {After He was risen from the dead, Jesus suddenly} appeared {like a ghost} to the eleven

As they sat at {dinner} and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart,

because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen {from the dead}.

15 And He said {to} them,

"Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

16 He that {believes} and is baptized {by water and Spirit Jn. 3} shall be saved.

But he that {believes} not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe:

In My Name {in the Name of Jesus} shall they cast out devils.

They shall speak with new tongues.

18 They shall take up serpents.

And if they drink any deadly thing {poison}, it shall not hurt them.

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover".

2 Timothy 4:1-2

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

I {order you} therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ,

Who shall judge the {living} and the dead at His {return} and His kingdom,

2 Preach the word.

Be instant in season, out of season.

Reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Ephesians 5:14-16

Authorized (King James) Version

(Paraphrased)

13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the Light

{because} whatsoever {does} make manifest is Light.

14 Wherefore {the Lord says in the Bible},

"Awake {you} that {is asleep} and arise from the dead and Christ shall give {you} Light".

{Isa. 51:17; 52:1; 60:1/ Mal. 4:2}

15 See then that {you} walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise

16 Redeeming the time because the days are evil.

Heb 9:27 says that everyone will die. No one knows the day that they will die. To equip you for ministry, the Lord wants me to tell you here that we need to witness every chance we can while we're alive because if we die without doing something for God, and we don't know when we will die, that we will face judgement and be cast into hell (Mt. 25). So, we need to be instant in season and out of season and redeem the time to avert going to hell.

If we don't witness for the Lord; if we don't use our time on earth to do something for God with the spiritual gifts that He gave us (1 Cor. 12-14), Mt. 25:22-30 says that Christians will be sentenced to hell for not using what God gave us to do something for Him in this life with. To do something for God & Jesus means to witness, as Mk. 16:14-18 says to.

In Mt. 25:22-30, the Christian that lost his salvation was anointed with one talent, or, spiritual gift (1 Cor. 12:7-11). He did nothing with the talent, but instead hid it. We know these as "closet Christians". One talent isn't much. But God told him in v. 27 that he should have invested it and gained interest with it. He could have at least have done something with his talent instead of nothing at all.

The Lord took back what was His from the evil servant in Mt. 25: 22-30. When anointed Christians die without doing something in service to God with the anointing, God will take back His anointing in judgement after they die and will sentence them to hell. No one with the Holy Spirit can go to hell. So, this evil servant went to hell because God took back His talent or spiritual gift which we get when we are baptized into the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12). The Holy Spirit left that evil servant for not serving God with Him. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to witness through Him (Lk. 16:20).

The Christian given two talents in Mt 25:17 doubled his talents and gave the Lord four when He returned. The Christian given five talents also doubled his portion and gave the Lord ten talents when He returned. The double anointing of 2 Kings 2:9 and 1 Tim. 5:17, 18.

Two talents ain't much. One talent isn't much. But they're something. Something is better than nothing. Doubling your portion in service to God isn't much but at least it's doing something. Investing and gaining interest isn't much. But it's something.

This wicked and lazy servant didn't do nothing with his anointing. What Jesus said in judgement to him in verse 27 was that he could have given it to someone else to do something with it; invest it, and that he would have gotten the credit for it when Jesus returns. It's like Jesus told him that if he was too lazy to use it, then he could have given it for someone else to use to make something from it. That is doing something with it instead of nothing. Getting others to work for you gets you the credit because the anointing God gave you is yours not theirs.

God isn't asking much from us. What Jesus is saying in Mt 25 is to do something, anything, for God with what He's given you. Even if it's something small. Even if someone else does something with it. Something is better than nothing. That something small will mean the difference between heaven or hell for you.

Be instant in season and out of season. Redeem the time and make time to witness everyday because you don't know when you're going to die. And if you pass your time on earth wanting to do something for God but doing nothing in procrastination, when you die, you will face the judgement of the wicked and lazy servant in Mt 25:26-29 and will be cast into hell for not doing something to honor God for His gifts given in grace to you.

People say that believing in Jesus will save you from hell. They believe that this is what faith in Jesus means (Jn. 3). Jesus said in Mk. 16:16 that those who believe will be saved. But James 2:14-26 says that faith without works is dead. Dead like an unfruitful branch (Jd. vv. 5-13). If you believe in Jesus, then you will show your belief in Him by what you do. If you believe in Jesus, witness for Him (Mt. 28:18-20). Be instant in season and out of season and redeem the time to do something for God with your portion of spiritual gifts from Him so that you don't go to hell.

Preach the Word in Season and Out of Season

Redeeming the Time

God says to be instant in season and out of season and to redeem the time because when you die, you will be judged for not doing something for God, and you don't know when you will die. So, get up and go preach (Mt. 28:18-20). Preach the word in season and out of season redeeming the time by preaching.

Here on this website, I bear fruit for God. This is one way that I use my talents to do something for God. It's not much, but it's something! I made this website and named it according to God's word to me. This means that in 2020 God told me to start writing the messages He gives me online for others to read and to name it "From The Lord Jesus To You" and "Prophecies To Come", my other prophecy page on Facebook.

World without end. Amen.
