The Lord Jesus calls,"Repent! Or live your Life!"

Updated: Aug 20, 2021

Luke 17:20-37

Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased}

20 And when {Jesus} was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Hello World,

Today, I want explain something to you about what the Lord Jesus calls, "living your life". If you're living your life, then you're not preparing yourself for His return.

Look at verses 26 - 30 in the passage above to see what Jesus means by living your life.

Luke 17:26-30

Authorized (King James) Version

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Jesus shows in verse 27 that living your life is to eat, drink and get married. Verse 28 shows that it means to eat, drink, bought, sold, planted and builded. Today, to live your life means to party and take the American Dream. A nice house at sunset with a white picket fence and a little dog in the yard. A BBQ party and the next day, back to work for more money to live your life.

Instead of repenting, people live their lives. The goal of any Christian is to leave this life to go to heaven with Jesus forever! It's a better life up there. Knowing Jesus is the meaning of life. Going to live with Him is the goal of life. Not creating the American Dream. If you're not living to prepare for the Lord to return, you're going to miss the rapture. Jesus wants people to repent of living your life and live to prepare for Him to return to get us and take us to heaven.

The things of life described in the passage above, are idols. Food. Drink. Marriage. Buying. Selling. Planting and building. Living your life. People their time to these things instead of to devotion to the Lord's return. People are eating, drinking, getting married, buying, selling, planting and building, instead of preaching. All the time it takes to do these things, is making you miss the Rapture because the time is short.

Instead of preaching, you're going to work for money to take care of yourself. That idolatry would fall under eating and drinking above. you're doing drugs and drinking and fornicating instead of preaching. This idolatry falls under marriage in the passage above. Jesus says that His people are doing these things instead of preaching. he wants us to repent. "But Darrin, isn't it right to work and take care of yourself?'

To answer this, I give you Luke 12:13-48 at the end of this final paragraph for this Post.

But first, imagine a golden road going up into the sky...at the top of it is Jesus smiling and sitting on His Throne...on the road to heaven, is everything you need...as you enter it, you hear Jesus say, "Well done good and faithful servant! Enter into your rest", because that's how fast Jesus is coming back.

On the road to heaven is everything you will ever need. Food. Drink. A spouse. Money. A house. A car, and whatever else you can think of.

Supplying your every need is what Jesus is talking about in Luke 12:13-48. You don't need to live your life to work and make a life for yourself. Doing that is idolatry because you're doing those things instead of preaching.

Jesus said in verse 15 that a man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things which he possesses. Living your life, is not how to serve Jesus. God wants us to preach and He'll give us whatever we need. This is called Living by faith.

Allow me to explain what living by faith in Jesus means. There will come a point in your fellowship with the Holy Spirit that you will not want money, because you will know that Jesus is your Source. All you need is Jesus. When you relate to Jesus, He will give you channels to supply your money. People and circumstances are the channels, but Jesus is the Source of your supply. To relate to Jesus means to preach. To live by faith means to preach.

In one passage below, Jesus calls the man who lived his life a fool. Then showed us to live by faith in God to supply our need, and that working for Him, or, preaching, instead of living our life, is how to make it when Jesus returns.

This is why God is reaching out to His church through prophecy, dreams and visions to repent and prepare for His return, or, to live like Luke 12:13-48 instructs us to, because many will not make the Rapture because they're living their lives instead of repenting and preaching. Amen.

Luke 12:13-48

Authorized (King James) Version {Paraphrased}

13 And one of the company said unto {Jesus}, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. 14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. 16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; 36 and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. 45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46 the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Stop living your life and do these following verses,

Luke 12:41-44

Authorized (King James) Version

41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all? 42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

If after you finish reading this message that the Lord is convicting you from Luke 12:13-48, and He is stopping in your tracks as you go eat, get a drink, start talking to people, go to work or shop, and you are thinking, "Wait! I'm supposed to be preaching to make it in the rapture, not this...what do I do?"

The next thing to do is to ask the Lord to help you repent and preach instead of live your life. Because the Lord was able to freeze your body with this message. Next, He'll release you to pray and ask for His help. Do that now...get on your knees where you are and ask God to help to repent from living your life. I leave the Lord to do the rest and to take you from there. Amen.

TO LIVE YOUR LIFE IS THE WRONG ROAD

To live your life, instead of work for the Lord to leave this life with the Lord Jesus, is the wrong road.
