Luke 8:4-15
Authorized (King James) Version
{Paraphrased}
4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to {Jesus} out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Whenever God wants to give you something, He does it with His word. He'll give you a message and tell you to preach it. Have you ever heard the Holy Spirit tell you that you just got what you preached about? For example, you preach a message that God gave you about getting out of hell, and as soon as you preach that word to others, God says, "You just got out of hell"! Or, you preach a message to others about money and after you preach you hear heaven say, "You are going to be rich"!
It's just that simple. When you got a need, plant a seed. If you need money, preach about money. If you need a spouse, preach about marriage. When you sow the messages that God gives you into the hearts of others by preaching them, you reap the harvest when the seeds take root in their hearts.
The angel of the Lord confirms this message,
"That's the way God works. What you preach & teach, God does to you".
The Lord Jesus now says,
"My power is My word".
The Holy Spirit confirms the message of Jesus above with Bible passages,
Hebrews 1:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
John 1:1-3
Authorized (King James) Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Psalm 33:6
Authorized (King James) Version
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Genesis 1:3
Authorized (King James) Version
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Isaiah 55:10-11
Authorized (King James) Version
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven,
and returneth not thither,
but watereth the earth,
and maketh it bring forth and bud,
that it may give seed to the sower,
and bread to the eater:
11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
World without end. Amen.
