Where Does The Bible Say That To Make Jesus Your Lord Means To Do What Jesus Says?

Updated: Jun 21

Matthew 7:15-27

Authorized (King James) Version

Jesus is Lord of Those Who Do What He says

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

To Listen to Jesus Makes Jesus Your Lord

You can easily see when reading this passage that doing what Jesus says, makes Him your Lord. In vv.15-20 Jesus starts out talking about false prophets saying that by their fruits you will know them. Fruits are what we produce by our actions. Thus, Jesus is talking about what people do in these verses.

In vv. 21-23 Jesus is saying that doing God's will gives you the right to call Jesus your Lord. It also says that to get to heaven, we need to do what Jesus says. In vv. 24-27 Jesus says that doing His words is the will of God and means that Jesus is your Lord. Doing what Jesus says in the Bible saves you from the fall of the false prophet.

The false prophet falls in judgement because he says Jesus is his Lord, but he's got no foundation; no words of Jesus, no will of God, to stand on and support him calling Jesus his Lord.

What Jesus is saying in this Bible passage is that Jesus is Lord of those who do what He says. To call Jesus Lord means that you listen to Him. Jesus is Lord over those who do what He says.

Vv. 15-22 are surmised by Jesus in v. 23. The raving mad thorns and thistles of vv. 15, 16, and the corrupt and evil fruit that is cut down and cast into hell fire of vv. 17-20, are the works of iniquity of a false ministry in v. 23.

These people believe in Jesus, and they have a ministry; a church, with prophecy, exorcism and miracles. But they have no works from God to show their faith because they have no faith. It's a fake ministry. In their private lives their works are iniquity and not Jesus' words. They preach in church to appear godly. They do things to be admired by people to get their money (Mt. 6:2). But they're false prophets whose faith is dead, raving mad thorns and thistles: corrupt and evil fruit. A dead tree with no fruit. These are dead and need to be cut down and burned. Fake preachers (Book of Jude & 2 Pt. 2).

These people perform ministry duties such as prophecy and exorcism. They pray and go to church. But they don't have a lasting foundation of doing God's word off stage. Listening to the Holy Spirit when you're alone and no one's around to see but God, means you're true and the things you do in ministry are not to get people's trust and money (Mt. 6:1-18). But to please God (Rom. 8:7-9). You go to church at the word of God. The Holy Spirit and His angels bring you to church to do something for Jesus, so that you are not judged with the hypocrites (1 Cor. 11:31, 32).

This means that your faith is dead because your religious and believe in Jesus. But the Holy Spirit is not the source of your faith like the sap is the source of the vine. So, what you do in church is religious tenet, not the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

You're like the religious Pharisees and Sadducees who performed dead works because they were not born again. God was not the source of your motives and ministry duties. Dead. That's why they're cast into the fire.

Again, to clarify, I want to restate that the people in Mt. 7:15-27 are religious people like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus' time. They were not born again and did not have God in them convicting them to do His word. They perform ministry duties because they believe in God, but their faith is dead because their works are iniquity. They're dead Christians.

Dead Christians today and the Pharisees of Jesus' time have a common denominator. They believe in Jesus and read the Bible to find out what to do to serve God. But they're fake because they don't have a root from God in them that makes them do this. Their motive is to please people not God. They have no root of God; His offspring, that makes them do outreaches to witness to people about Jesus. This means that in their personal lives they don't live for God. They have no rain from the Holy Spirit to keep them planted (Heb. 6:1-8/Jms. 5:7). No former and latter rain (Joel 2:21-32). Jesus said to do things to please God when you're alone (Mt. 6:1-18). Not to be a people pleaser (Gal. 1:10/ Eph. 6:6, 7).

There are things that people need to do to grow in Christ like a new plant. When you're alone with the Holy Spirit inside your body, you need to read the Bible to grow, pray to grow, go to church to grow and please God and go witness to people about Jesus to grow and please God within. These people are false prophets who though they read the Bible, they don't know God. They don't have inside them making them do these things. Like the Pharisees, they don't know God when they serve God in church. They do these things for another god. Not to please God, but it's idolatry. You do your own works.

Thus, the Lord wants to talk about this,

"You have a natural spring of man's teachings", says the God of your salvation. "If they were from God, you would be doing things like Me when alone. When alone He pleased His Father, not in public. In public He was scrutinized. Not held by their pulpit. But alone, that's when He prospered because His root took root and sprang forth a branch of eternal life to those who believed in Him and knew He did His Father's works. Not His own. You've got to be like this", says your God, "Or you will suffer eternal fire because it will not be Me who works through you. But your own tenets".

The Pharisees remind me of today's police. They don't know God. They might believe in Jesus and read the Bible and go to church and pray once in a while. But they don't know God and so what they do in church is religious tenet and not because they're born again with the Holy Spirit inside them telling them to give their complete devotion to Jesus Christ. False tenet. religious zeal. They believe in law not the Gospel. They serve another god. They're all about law because they don't know God.

This takes us to the seed of God's word in Lk. 8:4-15. Three were fake and only one was real.

Luke 8:4-15

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, {Jesus} spake by a parable: A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Vv. 11-15 reveal that these people did not make it to heaven due to various reasons. Vv. 11, 12 say that after they heard the Gospel, they believed. But the devil ate the word in their hearts. This means that they stopped believing and their faith became dead because the word was no longer growing in them. There were no words of Jesus inside them to show that they believed in Him. The word did not take root and bear fruit. Their faith was dead.

      V. 13 says that these people heard the Gospel of their salvation, but they had no root. So, they were happy and went to church for a while, but when problems came because of the word, they fell away. The word did not take root and bear fruit. Their faith was dead.

      V. 14 says that these people had the word of God choked out of them by money and the cares of this life. They did not keep Jesus first. They were worried about food, clothes, drink and where the money to buy these thigs was going to come from. The word did not take root and bear fruit. Their faith was dead.

God wants me to use myself as an example of living faith. This message, for example. I'm writing this because God told me something the other day about what it means to make Jesus your Lord. So, I want to share it. It was my word for that day. There are believers and there are born again believers. There are those who read the Bible and use it to put on a show. And there are people who are taught of God like me. Who are given messages by God and His angels, and we write them so that what we say to others becomes reality in our lives because what we tell others takes root and grows in others and bears fruit when they read our messages.

This website is how I bear fruit for God. To have success with God means to make it to heaven with His word. To listen to God does not always mean to have a ministry. It means to do what God tells you in your personal life so that by doing these things, God is pleased and accepts you into heaven. "Well done good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord Jesus". Joy, not the torture of hell.

People might not see that as salvation. They will say that I had no ministry or church. But God will say to them that He knows me and not them because I know God. The Holy Spirit is inside me and telling me what to write. He told me to make this website and on it, He tells me what to write and publish. He gave me the name. From Jesus to You.

I have two websites. This one on WIX which is www.fromthelordjesustoyou.com and Prophecies to Come on Facebook. God told me to make these two websites and to bear fruit on them by telling you what He tells me. When you hear God's word from me, it will begin to grow on you and when you grow in God, I get the harvest in my life. I get what I said to you. That's how God works. He does to us what we say to others.

When God wants to do something in your life, He sows a message into your heart. This means that He teaches you what He wants you to know about something because you need to know about it at that time. Then He'll tell you to tell others about He said to you about this subject, and when you do, it takes root and bears fruit in their lives, and you get from God what you said to them.

For example, when God came to me in 2020 because of the coronavirus, He was sad and mad because I was just coming out of a backslidden condition. I was like the evil servant in Mt. 24:48-51. I was partying and fighting others instead of witnessing to them. God corrected me with an arrest for possession of narcotics in 2019. He had my attention in 2020 when He came to me when the coronavirus hit. He put to death what made me party like that in 2020. Jesus called it "the lust of life". It's that feeling that makes you happy and horny when you're partying. It's actually not a feeling. But a lust of the flesh. When He killed it, He put me in death's chamber which is judgement for fornication with a harlot (Pr. 7:24-27). He took me somewhere in that realm and my body was alone on earth. I didn't want to be around people. Like a lamb that strays, the Shepherd breaks its leg and carries it over His shoulder until its leg heals. He makes the lamb closer to Him by doing this so that it listens to him and not strays from him. "Come. Take a closer walk with Me".

God took me from people because they were getting me back into the world and said that in a few years everyone will be gone, and that I'll be alone with Him and the angels on earth like I am now. This will happen starting this year and by 2025 and 2026, people will be gone...in 2027 everyone will be gone...God told me to get used to being alone because I'm one of His kids that He's saving and said that there's no one left to stop me from preaching because everyone died from the COVID. Everyone's going to start dying.

God began in a work in me in 2020 to get me to heaven in time. In 2019 He arrested me and put me on probation. In 2020 He told me to make two blogs online where I could share with you His messages to me so that what I tell you here could be done to me when it grows in you.

When God wanted me to have money, He taught how to get money from Him by sowing online His messages to me about money into others and when it took root and bore fruit in the hearers, I would get my money from God. God wants you to have money and the o0ne that tells you how to get money from God, God gives Him the money he needs.

When God wanted me to rise from the dead in the first resurrection, or the Rapture, He gave me messages about it and told me to sow it into others heart's here on my two websites. And when those messages put others in the first resurrection, God's word also sealed my resurrection too. That's how God works. He does to you what you say to others. The seed is the word of God (Lk. 8:4-15).

On Judgement Day, these messages will be there as seeds of God's word planted into the hearts of His church. I have a church. It's you who read here and who also know I'm real and that my messages are real. These messages are building a foundation for my eternal life to stand upon forever in heaven on Judgement Day because they're real messages from God. God is taking me to heaven with my websites. WIX are from Israel. These are Jesus' people that I'm writing with. It will be said on Judgement Day that God gave Darrin a ministry online with Israel on WIX.

I may not have a big crowd I preach to in person. But I'm real and I'm one of the few that God is getting to heaven with the narrowness of His word (Mt. 7:13, 14). What I'm saying is that I'm real because I'm doing this alone...I'm writing with no humans. I am in the company of God's angels and in the Presence of God the Father, the Son and Hoy Spirit. I'm not doing these things to get money from people or to put on a show and get people's admiration. I write here alone to please God. To get to heaven by listening to God. God tells me what to write. I write here to bear fruit so that I have a foundation to stand on, on Judgement Day.

This is what Jesus is talking about in Mt. 7:15-27. Doing the word of God in your personal life. If you never make it as a preacher in this world, on Judgement Day you got what it takes to make it into the gates of the New Jerusalem. God's word (Rev. 22:14). You did it. You listened to God after you got saved and your ministry was small maybe one person. But doing God's word to you in your personal life is all that was needed to make a road to heaven for yourself. I'm real.

This is what Jesus is talking about in Mt. 7:15-21. Being a real Christian. To know God personally. To do what He says to you when you're alone so that you make it to heave because real Christians know that to get to heaven, you need to do what Jesus, or God, says for you to do when you're alone. What I do when I'm alone, I do to impress God so that He lets me into heaven. But what about the false prophet? Do they have a personal relationship with God when they're alone? is God telling what to write and do for that day? No. They put on a show and when they get home, Jesus says they live in iniquity. Iniquity is that sinful nature (My. 23:28/ Rom. 7). Our sinful nature has been sanctified by the Holy Spirit and the word of God so that when we're alone, we're trying our best to do what God says so that we don't live in iniquity no more (Rom. 8). But instead, we live to please God with our obedience to His words (1 Thes. 4:1/ Heb. 11:6; 13:16).

There is a basic Christian foundation of growing in Christ that Christians do when they're alone to fellowship with God. It's called "Quiet Time with God". Or "Private Devotions". Or "Morning Devotions". You won't catch the false prophet doing these things when they're alone because they're all about using Jesus to make money with a fake ministry. So, when they're alone, they're living in iniquity or sin.

The Four Basic Spiritual Foundations of Christian Growth in Christ

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Jn. 14:26; 15:26; 16:7-15

Private Devotional Life

  1. Prayer (Mt. 6:5-15)

  2. Bible Study (2 Tim. 2:15)

When you're alone with God in the Secret Place of the Most-High,

(Ps. 32:5-11; 91/ Song 2:14)

You get out your Bible and talk to God and soon, the Holy Spirit brings scriptures to your memory (Jn. 14:26) that answer you.

Bible verses and passages in your memory are the voice of the Holy Spirit.

This is why you need to study the Bible. It's so that you hear the voice of God

in your mind because the Holy Spirit will talk to you by bringing scripture verses to your memory that answer you.

(Pr. 6:20-22/ Heb. 4:12)

Christians love to worship God and talk to God when they're alone.

Public Ministry

  1. Church (Heb. 10:24, 25)

  2. Witnessing (Mt. 28:18-20/ Mk. 16:15-18/ Lk. 24:44-49/ Jn. 20:21-23/ Acts 1 &2

  3. Prayer (2 Chr. 7:14)

  4. Bible study (Mt. 28:19, 20)

That's what it's like to be real. You had an encounter with God when you were alone. You met God personally in the baptism into the Holy Spirit, and you listen to Him to get to heaven. Real Christians know that when Jesus talks about Himself as Lord in Mt. 7:21, that He's talking about the Holy Spirit, God the Father and Himself, talking to you when you're alone; whispering to you, on how to get to heaven by listening to what they whisper to you when you're alone.

Jesus is God and has one voice with; the same voice as, the Holy Spirit and God the Father. They all talk as one person, but they have different names and different roles in salvation. One is Father, one is Spirit, and one is Son, or word of God. They're all God. They're all the word of God. But they're not the same person. They talk as one, but they talk distinctly.

I know God and this is what Jesus is talking about in Mt. 7:23. Knowing God personally as opposed to believing in Him and reading the Bible and putting on a show. One's fake and one's real. One's a child of God and the other is a false prophet.

The false Christian does the Bible but not from a personal relationship where God tells you which verses to do. He just reads and does them in his own works because he doesn't know God personally through the baptism into the Holy Spirit. I know the Holy Spirit from personal experience and not from scripture.

I'm trying to find a scripture that says that you get to know God through the baptism into the Holy Spirit. But any Christian who's been Spirit filled and anointed will nod and say "yes" to this truth because they know what it means to know God through the baptism into the Holy Spirit.

The great fall of the man who did not use Christ's words to build his ministry on in vv. 24-27, is the bad fruit of the false prophet in vv. 15-20.

In the video below, Howard Pittman says that people call Jesus Lord but don't make Him their Lord. Jesus gives us the answer in this post on how to make Him our Lord in Mt. 7:21-27. To make Jesus your Lord, do what He says! And you won't stand in the judgement of the false prophet in v. 21. Which is to call Jesus your Lord but not do what He says.

Jesus says in this passage that you are a false prophet if you call Him Lord but don't do what He says. The true prophet answers with actions, not lip service, God's command to do His will (Mk. 7:6). They do what Jesus God's Son says (Jn. 2:5).

You don't know God if all you do is read the Bible, pray and go to church. You've got to have Him in you telling you what to do next. Doing what the Bible says because you read it doesn't mean nothing to God if He's not directing you what to read and do in the Bible. God has to live inside you through the baptism into the Holy Spirit. These people that were sent to hell in Mt. 7:23 were not born again and Spirit filled Christians. God didn't know them because He didn't live inside them telling them to prophesy, exorcize demons and do miracles. They were fake dead works. Not genuine Holy Ghost acts. Do God's commands to get to heaven.

Revelation 22:14

Authorized (King James) Version

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Jesus is Talking About Your Ministry in Mt. 7:15-27

Let Jesus' Word be the Foundation of Your Ministry

1 Corinthians 3:1-15

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

Jesus Christ

The Foundation of Eternal Life

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s {planting}, ye are God’s building.

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

What to Do to Bear Fruit

Do This Word of Christ

2 Peter 1:1-11

Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in {knowing personally} our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
