Worship the Lord in the Beauty of Holiness

Updated: Dec 30, 2023

Psalm 29 Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased} Psalm 29 A Psalm of David

1 Give to the Lord, O you mighty, Give to the Lord glory and strength. 2 Give to the Lord the glory due to His Name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters, The God of glory {thunders}. The Lord is upon many waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. 5 The voice of the Lord {breaks} the cedars. Yes, the Lord {breaks} the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He {makes} them also to skip like a calf. Lebanon and Sirion {skip} like a young unicorn. 7 The voice of the Lord {divides} the flames of fire. 8 The voice of the Lord {shakes} the wilderness. the Lord {shakes} the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the Lord {makes} the hinds to calve, and {discovers} the forests, And in His Temple {does} everyone speak of His glory. 10 The Lord {sits} upon the flood. Yes, the Lord {sits} King forever. 11 The Lord will give strength to His people. The Lord will bless His people with peace.

Jesus is Beautiful

Because He is About Service Not Power

To Be About Service and Not Power

Means that We Help You

Not Tell You What to Do

Matthew 20:20-28 Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

Sweet Jesus 20 Then came to {Jesus} the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping Him, and desiring a certain thing of Him. 21 And He said {to} her," What {do you want Me to do for you"?} She says {to} Him, "Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on {Your} right hand, and the other on the left, in {Your} kingdom". 22 But Jesus answered and said, "You know not what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup {of suffering - Mt. 26-28/ Heb. 2:9, 10/ 2 Cor. 1:5-7/ Phil. 3:10/ 1 Pt. 1:11} that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with"? They say {to} Him, "We are able". 23 And He {says} to them, "{You} shall drink indeed of My cup {of suffering} and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with. But to sit on My right hand, and on My left, is not Mine to give. But it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of My Father". 24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two {brothers}. 25 But Jesus called them {to} Him and said, "{You} know that the {authorities} of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you. But {whoever} will be great among you, let him be your minister. 27 And {whoever} will be chief among you, let him be your servant. 28 Even as {I} the Son of man came not to be ministered {to}, but to minister and to give {My} life a ransom for many".

Matthew 23:1-12 Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

Jesus is Lord

23 Then {Jesus spoke} to the multitude and to His disciples 2 saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Mosesseat. 3 All therefore {whatever} they bid you observe, that observe and do. But do not {do} after their works, {because} they say, and do not. 4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne and lay them on men’s shoulders. But they themselves will not {lift a} finger {to help them}. 5 But all their works they do to be seen of men. They make broad their phylacteries and enlarge the borders of their garments. 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 and greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi"! 8 But be not called "Rabbi" {because} one is your Master, {Me} Christ, and all you are {brothers}. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth {because} one is your Father, {God the Father whom} is in heaven. 10 Neither be called "masters" {because} one is your Master, {Me} Christ. 11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And {whoever} shall exalt himself shall be abased. And he that shall humble himself shall be exalted".

The Holy Spirit showed me how beautiful Jesus is when the other day I was reading scripture. It was Bible passage Luke 12:32-40. In verse 37, the Lord Jesus is speaking about Himself. He is also talking about the Rapture here (1 Cor. 15:50-57/ 1 Thes. 4:13-18). Paraphrased, our God is saying in verse 37 that when we faithful make it to heaven, that He will get dressed up like a waiter in a restaurant and serve us that feast in God's Banquet Hall in heaven waiting for those faithful and scripturally wise servants who fed God's church during the age of grace for Him.

This is what the Holy Spirit showed me is beautiful about God's Son, Jesus. That, He's gracious. He will serve us a great feast after the Rapture for feeding His church the Bible (Mt. 4:4/ Jer. 3:14, 15/ Acts 20:28/ Jn. 21:15-19). Imagine that...the Creator, the Source, the King, serves His servants. A God who is about service and not power (Mt. 20: 20-28; 23:1-12). That is beautiful. Worship the Lord with me in the beauty of holiness...

Being gracious is a leader's thing. Have you ever been in charge and to satisfy your servants, you serve them and make them comfortable? That's God's motive as well. He owns everything and He's in charge. He has more than His servants do, and everyone comes to Him for help because He is the Source of life (Ps. 145:15, 16). So, Jesus serves His household to satisfy Himself by satisfying them.

I'm there in leadership and it is satisfying to see someone who asks me for help to use what they ask me for when I give it to them. That's about why the Son of God serves His house. Authority is about service, not power.

Luke 12:32-40 Authorized (King James) Version

{Paraphrased}

32 {And Jesus says} "Fear not, little flock {because} it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell {what you} have and give alms. Provide yourselves bags which wax not old. A treasure in the heavens that {fails} not. Where no thief {approaches}, neither moth {corrupts}. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

35 Let your loins be girded about and your lights burning. 36 And {you} yourselves like to men that wait for their lord when He will return from the wedding {feast}. {So} that when He {comes} and {knocks}, they may open to Him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord {He's speaking of Himself} when He {comes} shall find watching {like this}. Verily I say to you, that He shall {dress} Himself and make them to sit down to {eat} and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be therefore {likewise} ready also, {because} the Son of man {comes} at an hour when you think not".
