You Can Trust the Lord

Updated: Feb 16

You Can Trust the Lord

(Psalm 107)

The Lord prophecies to us today,

"If I put people in hell {after saving them}, they'll hate Me.

I'm not like that to people.

I'm not like Satan.

If I was there would be no order.

Things would be destroyed if I was evil.

You can rest assured that I'm going to do good to you because that's how I am".

Do you know what Jesus is talking about there? To make you understand, I'll tell you what I was thinking when the Lord gave me that prophecy. That prophecy was a response to my thoughts. I was thinking that what if after all our obedience to God that He just threw us in hell? Jesus responded in that prophecy above to my thoughts with a couple points in it. One is that He isn't evil like Satan to do that. He can be trusted. And two, that things would be destroyed if He did because for God to repay evil to our good would go against His word and since everything is upheld by Jesus' word (Heb. 1:1-3), that everything would be destroyed if He did. So, you can trust the Lord.

God Cares About the Small Things That Matter to You

You Can Trust the Lord

Philippians 4:19

Authorized (King James) Version

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

A Personal Testimony

God cares that I want to do my laundry and have clean couch covers. This is what I saw when I was fifty cents short for laundry the other day and found a dollar bill at my feet at a store. To explain, I have four cats because I love cats, and they lay on my couches and bed all day and night and I have to wash the covers and bedding every few days because they get full of cat fur.

Today was one of those days and as I said above, I was short fifty cents, but no one knew that but me & God within me. I went to the store to use my credit card to get my wife something and there at my feet was a dollar bill. I had no cash, but I had a credit card. When I took the dollar bill at my feet, I cashed it in for four quarters and did my laundry that night. I had fifty cents left instead of fifty cents short. I washed my couch covers and put them back on clean for the cats to lay on and it looked nice like I want it. I said thank you to my God because He gave me a dollar to do my laundry.

God cares for the small things that matter to us. Was it the laundry that God cared for? No. It was me. That I wanted to wash my couch covers. That's what I was wishing for. That's how much God cares for us all, if you could just give Him a chance and get saved (Jn. 3/ Rom. 10). God will do this for you as well.

Now this reminds me of something I wrote about last year here on this website when it comes to money, that I don't need money because I have God in me. God always gives me what I need when I need it before I ask Him for it. God's eye is on the sparrow, and He'll give us what we need before we ask Him.

Matthew 6:19-34

Authorized (King James) Version

Keep God First

19 {And Jesus said} "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I Don't Need Money

Because Christ is in Me

(1 Pt. 5:14)

As I said, I don't need money because when I need money God gives it to me as in the laundry dollar I found at a store. If it came to billions of dollars or Jesus, I'd rather have Jesus. I don't need money because I have Jesus in me.

God Grants Your Wishes

God Answers Prayer Before You Pray

3 John 2

Authorized (King James) Version

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

When God drops money in front of me like this when I need it, He is first reading my mind and then gives me what I need before I ask Him. This is called wishing and God granting my wishes.

A wish is an unspoken prayer. God is so good that He'll give us what need before we ask Him by granting our wishes. God has been doing this to me for years. I have other testimonies to testify about when God dropped what I needed in front of me before I asked Him for it (I'll add in another testimony at the end). This is why I say that I don't need money because I have God in me. I'd rather have Jesus than all the money in the world.

So, 3 Jn. vs, 2 above is the only scripture I can find in the Bible that talks about wishes and prosperity in the same verse. So, what I'm trying to show you with this verse is that wishes are unspoken prayers. The Apostle Paul was wishing for them to prosper and be in health. This means that wishing is a form of prayer and when God is in you, God will grant your wishes because He's inside you seeing your wishes. Jesus said in Mt. 6:32 that God knows that we need these things before we ask Him, and I say to you that God will give you what you need before you ask Him when He sees your wishes from within. That's what He does for me. What I need drops in front of me because God knows that money answers all things (Ecc. 10:19).

But when God means more to you than money, He'll give money to you because He trusts you and you can be trusted not to put money before Jesus. So, don't try to get saved to get money from God. Salvation is about averting hell because you love God (Jn. 15-17).

The Holy Spirit and the Anointing

Are Worth than Money

Acts 8:5-25

Authorized (King James) Version

You Can't Buy Salvation

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city. But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10 to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. 21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. 23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. 24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

25 And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

As you relate to God, He will use people and conditions to bring you money

You can trust God

Another Testimony

The Lord is telling me to add in another testimony to build your faith in Him to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. He wants me to tell you about this one because when I need something, God drops it in front of me.

Back in 1998, I was in prison in California for a drunk driving. It was not a 502, which is California lingo for a felony drunk driving with bodily injury. Most people would tend to think that if I was in prison for a drunk driving, that it had to be a 502. No. California penal codes state that four misdemeanor drunk driving's within seven years is a felony with a 16-month sentence that goes with it. Out of 16 months you do 10 months. Six months in prison and four months in a halfway house. So, that's what happened to me.

At this time, I was also saved. Back then I had an emotional problem that whenever I broke up with a woman I loved, that I would get drunk and drive around. Not caring for myself no more. However, I'm not like that anymore thanks to Jesus and treatment centers.

In prison, you first go to a classification housing unit to be classified on whether you do your time on a level 1, 2, 3, or 4 yard depending on your crime and a lot of other information about you. I was level 1 for six months. The classification unit is 1 to 3 months before you're sent to your permanent housing level unit.

While I was there, I needed house shoes to walk around in. Let me explain. When you get to classification, you get a bed roll and some clothes and a pair of slippers for the shower and a pair of house shoes. When you go to your level 1 to 4 yard to do your time, you get tennis shoes and work boots and more clothes. But in classification, you only get house shoes and shower slippers.

I didn't get the house shoes when I got there, so I was walking around in socks for a few days. And for a few days I didn't think to ask God for the house shoes. I was just wishing for them. One night after dinner, the trustees were sweeping off the tiers for the night. They sweep and clean three times a day after every meal because people are coming in and out all the time and it gets dirty and dusty fast.

So, one night after doing a Bible study with my cellmate (I got him saved), I was standing at my cell door waiting for a trustee to walk by so I can ask for a pair of house shoes when all of a sudden about two feet in front of me, a pair of new house shoes dropped in front of my cell door from one of the tiers above me. The trustees were doing their final sweep before lights out. The shoes were covered with dust because what the trustees do is sweep everything into one pile and then sweep if off the tier to the bottom floor to pick up later. He swept a pair of new house shoes right in front of me. What I was wishing for dropped right in front of me. That was Jesus who did that. Can you see that? I was wishing for a pair of house shoes and bam! They dropped right in front of me. I was standing at my cell door to ask for a pair. But no one knew that but me & God within me. When the trustee walked by, I asked him to kick the house shoes under my door and I got them. When I dusted them off, they were brand new.

For clarity, when I'm wishing for something, God drops it in front of me before I ask Him. This is how it's been in my relationship with God since I got baptized into the Holy Spirit in 1992. may this post build your faith in God. You can trust God.

His Eye Is On The Sparrow

1 Why should I feel discouraged,

Why should the shadows come,

Why should my heart be lonely,

And long for heav’n and home;

When Jesus is my portion?

My constant Friend is He;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me.

I sing because I’m happy,

I sing because I’m free;

For His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me.

2 “Let not your heart be troubled,”

His tender word I hear,

And resting on His goodness,

I lose my doubts and fears;

Though by the path He leadeth,

But one step I may see;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me.

3 Whenever I am tempted,

Whenever clouds arise;

When songs give place to sighing,

When hope within me dies,

I draw the closer to Him,

From care He sets me free;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me;

His eye is on the sparrow,

And I know He watches me.

World without end. Amen.
