God wants people to know that what Jesus did with the beatings and His death was for our bodies. Jesus' blood forgives sin, and His stripes heal us. You've heard that before, but did you know that sin is inside your body like sickness and disease are? The sin is called the bond of iniquity in acts 8:23, and the curse of sin, contained in Genesis 3.

when satan attacked adam & eve in genesis 3, he killed their spirits with sin. spiritual death means God departing from the body. when this happened, the bond of iniquity was designed in our bodies by God as the curse of sin ().

what Jesus did was reverse the curse by forgiving our sins and sending the Holy Spirit to live inside our bodies again, and He does the healing of the sinful nature in the body and sickness in the body.

this is why the sacrament of communion is effective at healing sin and sickness in the body. (expound)
